Lyrics

I laid my load down in prayer, and found His peace was there
The Savior walks with me today, with mercy everywhere
He does the will of Heaven, and I stay in Him
The Father who sent Jesus stays right there with Him

The One who sent Him is with Him
He never leaves Him alone
He does what pleases the Father
And keeps His will my own
So I’ll trust Him and obey Him
Till I reach that day of rest
For the One who sent Him is with Him
And He leads me through my steps

When trouble comes, His word stands sure
The Son walked here with us
He spoke the truth, He bore our sin
And finished what He must
Now His presence keeps me steady
As I keep moving on to Heaven

The One who sent Him is with Him
He never leaves Him alone
He does what pleases the Father
And keeps His will my own
So I’ll trust Him and obey Him
Till I reach that day of rest
For the One who sent Him is with Him
And He leads me through my steps

Not by my strength, but by His grace
I choose to walk by faith
His word is sure, His love is near
He guides me every day

The One who sent Him is with Him
He never leaves Him alone
He does what pleases the Father
And keeps His will my own
So I’ll trust Him and obey Him
Till I see His face someday
For the One who sent Him is with Him
And He leads me all the way
