Lyrics

God Looked down
from heaven upon
the hearts of evil men
each one has turned his back
and chose a life of sin

So I bow my heart
To the only throne
Remove my hard rust
and Make it flesh and bone

Don't cast me away
From Thy presence
(Thy presence)
Don't take Your Holy Spirit
From me

keep me in Your grace
With Thy free spirit
(Thy free spirit)
Hold me close, Lord
Hold me close

Wash the stains from me
so my brokenness sing
a burning in my chest
Let it purge everything

So I bow my heart
To the only throne
Remove my hard rust
Make it flesh and bone

Don't cast me away
From Thy presence
(Thy presence)
Don't take Your Holy Spirit
From me

keep me in Your grace
With Thy free spirit
(Thy free spirit)
Hold me close, Lord
Hold me close

If I wander too far
Bring me back again
If my tongue goes still
Teach my soul to bend

Let Your breath revive me
my sin has made me dead
I am Yours to keep Lord
need your embrace once more

Don't cast me away
From Thy presence
(Thy presence)
Don't take Your Holy Spirit
From me

keep me in Your grace
With Thy free spirit
(Thy free spirit)
Hold me close, Lord
Hold me close

Cast me not away
From Thy presence
(Thy presence)
Don't take Your Holy Spirit
From me
